Storyline: Nicholaj Cherenko is a former Soviet soldier, veteran of the war in Afghanistan. During a shootout his wife and son are killed, Nicholaj thus finds the assassins, killing some of them and wounding their leader. Nicholaj, believing he had served justice, leaves Russia and moves to Los Angeles, where he works as a mechanic. In Los Angeles he is sought out by a very wealthy family, who wants to hire him to find their kidnapped daughter. He initially refuses but when he is shown the photo of the kidnapper he accepts the job.
